About Piu Health

We built Piu for the 364 days a year you're on your own.

You see a doctor for about fifteen minutes a year. The rest is on you — meals, meds, movement, sleep, the small decisions that decide how your condition goes. Piu is the daily companion that fills that gap.

Piu
Hi, I'm Piu. Ajay built me.
Why Ajay built Piu

He isn’t building this from the outside. He’s the cohort.

Ajay has lived with type-2 diabetes since 2018. He’s spent 23 years building software for healthcare and financial systems — including stints as fractional CTO at a third-party administrator and a pharmacy benefit manager. He’s seen what gets billed, what gets denied, and how little of any of it touches the day after the visit.

“I’m not building Piu from the outside — I’m the cohort. Every reminder, every meal suggestion, every ‘did you take your meds’ is something I need too. The 15-minute clinic visit decides almost nothing about the 364 days that follow. Piu is the companion I wanted for those days — for the people I love, and for myself.”

What Piu is — and isn’t

A daily companion. Not a doctor.

Piu answers questions about your condition, suggests meals and movement, reminds you, and remembers your context from one day to the next. What it won’t do matters just as much:

  • Diagnose a new condition
  • Prescribe or change medication doses
  • Replace your doctor’s care plan
  • Make emergency decisions — she’ll tell you to call 911
  • Share your data without your explicit consent
Where we are

Early, and honest about it.

Piu is in pilot on iOS with a first cohort of 37, and 200+ people testing across type-2 diabetes, hypertension, and pre-diabetes. We’re building toward a public launch — and a controlled study (n=400, A1c primary endpoint) is planned to measure what daily support actually does for outcomes.
